Coming up with a unique vintage baby girl names can be difficult. You’ve got some heavy thinking to do. This is a long term commitment and
remember, you WILL have to sometimes scream this name at the grocery store and in a whole bunch of other public arenas.
I remember one time, not too long ago, this lady with a thick southern accent kept loudly calling out her daughter’s name while I was waiting in line at Walmart… “Granceland! Granceland! … Get back here, Gracelaaaaand!” The words just poured out of her mouth at an uncomfortably high pitch and I remember thinking, oh lady, what is happening??? It’s such an awkward word to just start screaming out in a store… she couldn’t seem to get to Graceland, her fleeing three year old. lol
Yes, I ended up singing the song, Going to Graceland, by Paul Simon for the duration of the entire day, and I can assure you, it’s not one of my favorites. It was my payback for judging her name choice, I’m certain. I just couldn’t stop myself. It was so attention grabbing to hear.
